Emil tried to stay serious, but that didn’t work out too well- his face transformed into a grin. “Do I?” He really didn’t know what she was talking about. Sure, they hadn’t seen each other in a while but that didn’t constitute for her getting mad at her.

“Yes, you do actually,” Ella said putting her hands on her hips. “I don’t care if you get a girlfriend or whatever you call them, but you shouldn’t forget your friends. We were here first and we know all your secrets.” And personally, Ella didn’t have many good friends besides Emil and his twin, Emma. She was getting kind of lonely.

Ella was going to kill him. She hadn’t seen her best friend, Emil, for almost two weeks. ‘This won’t do’ Ella thought as she walked through the halls after dinner. She understood he had a “Thing” now with some Slytherin hottie (Which one she wasn’t sure, there had been two last time they talked) but really, she had known the kid since they were born. “I deserve more then this” she said to no one particular as plopped down on a window sill on the fourth floor. “He is going to get it next time i see him.”

Annette and Emil were roaming the halls, trying to find the Room of Requirement when Emil saw Ella. “Hey, El!” He said, probably too enthusiastically, but he didn’t really care because he was just too happy in the moment. “I haven’t seen you in years it feels like.”

Ella spun around and glared at Emil. She stood up and stormed over to him, totally ignoring the girl next to him. She stood on her tip toes and stuck her finger in his face. “You, Mister, have some explaining to do.”

Ella didn’t like to admit it, but she was a little lonely. She tried to keep busy, which wasn’t hard for a 5th year to do with all the homework the professors piled on them, plus being Caption of the Quidditch team kept her plenty busy most nights and weekends. But when she did have a free moment, she finally realized how lonely she was. She had plenty of friends in her house, but they were those friends that you had so that you always had someone to sit by in class or at meals. Those friends that you could have light conversations with, but you wouldn’t spill your secrets to. Emil was the only one she ever told things too, well, and his twin Emma, but it was mostly Emil. He had been her best friend since she could remember, but now that he’d found his latest Slytherin girl, Ella had barely seen her best friend. She didn’t even know which Slytherin girl he had picked, if he had decided to be a decent human being and not play with the two of them. Ella sighed and stretched her legs out across the windowsill and gazed out at the Great Lake, watching the moon’s reflection dance off the waves.

Ella cursed herself as she made her way back from the library, arms full of books. She had been so focused on getting the team conditioned, she’d completely forgotten about the two parchment essay she had due in Transfiguration tomorrow. It wasn’t that it was a hard paper to write or anything, he father had taught her plenty, and she was one of the top in her class, she just would rather be hanging out with her friends, who had not procrastinated and were done, then write this stupid paper. Ella blew a stray piece of hair out of her face and tried to balance the stack of books in her arms as she maneuvered her way down the moving staircases.

He felt like he was doing something wrong. Alexander was creeping around silently and it resembled when he was trying to be quiet to evade nosy teachers. Luckily, he was out before curfew so he had no reason to hide. Yet, here he was ducking around corners and making no noise. Alexander thought he heard a noise so he began making his way over to the area when the voice suddenly cut off and he was left with facing a small, curious looking girl. “Well,” he muttered, “What do we have here?”

Ella stepped back a step and looked at the boy. He was much taller then she was so she had to look up to meet his eyes. “I could ask you the same question. You seem to be creeping around pretty suspiciously,” she said. For some reason she felt like she had to have her wits about her around this guy.

“No, no, I’m just looking for the party.” He was honest, at least, people had to give him that. Alexander towered over the girl and he may use that for a bit intimidation. “What are you doing lurking around in the dark?” He raised an eyebrow at her in questioning.

“I was……I was just practicing a song,” Ella said taking looking down at the sheet music in her hand and then back up into the boys eyes. “Are you talking about the party in the Room of Requirement? ” She asked,. If there really was a party in the RoR she was glad she had come here to practice.

Alexander was the walking dead. He hadn’t made it back to his dorm since yesterday (Ravenclaw girls are clingy) and he was completely wiped out. He was in a rough mood and frankly, all he kind of wanted was to lay in bed and sleep for the next ten hours. But he’d heard of a party in the RoR and even though he wasn’t sure if there actually was a party, but Alexander felt like he should check it out. It was his year, wasn’t it? He wanted to make every moment of it his celebration. Unfortunately, he had made a wrong turn on the stairs and he now found himself somewhere on the second (seventh?) floor of the castle. Alexander had thought he knew every turn and every hallway in Hogwarts, but as of today, he did not.

Ella had found a deserted room on the second floor to practice some of the music her mother had sent her. She was going to go the  RoR, but she had heard a rumor about a party, and didn’t want to chance it. She was in the middle of a song when she thought she heard someone in the hall way and automatically cut off. It wasn’t that she hated people to hear her sing, she actually loved an audience, but she hadn’t worked on this song very long, and only liked to sing publicly when she was sure what she was singing was good enough. She slowly peaked outside the room and noticed a very tall boy wondering a round the hall. She couldn’t quite make out how he was, but she as hoping he hadn’t heard her singing.
